Hello, I am interested in purchasing the Texas Ranger 696F base from copper..........can a + 10 K switch be installed to receive the alfa channels or can this be accomplished by opening the clarifier. Also the add lists a 11 meter conversion for an additional $ 30.00. Could you please tell me if this includes the above conversion for the extra channels........or exactly what it does include. Thanks................Snake Eyes! |

There are also 10kc jumps that can be done to this radio. With the mod above with the channel conversion, p5 has one switch hooked up to it. p6 has one swithch hooked up to it = 2 switches total.. Im sure coppers will help you out.. take care . |

Their are three versions for the clarifier mod. If this one don't work, i'll pass the other 2 and maybe with one of the combinations it will work.. but only if it don't work, i'll give the other 2 to you.. |

Their shouldn't be an 11 meter coversion for the 696 F as it is an 11 meter radio. |
