Is there any modifications that need to be done to this amplifier to make it work good on 11 meter or will this amplifier work great on the 10 meter setting? |

Nah use it like it is tune's up fine probally get around 450 watts easy. As a young cb'r I got 450 out of mine then I used a JB12 man it really caused TVI then. |

My palomar 300-A needs to be re-tubed. The tubes in it are at about 70% right now. Would I be able to buy the 6KG6's that Copper sells for replacements for the 6KD6's that are in it? |

The palomar300a requires a certain size tube to fit into the case.I dont think the 6KG6 tube is most likely too tall not to mention I think it takes a different tube socket. |

the 6kd6,6lf6,6lb6,6lx6,6mh6 tubes that are in it are 12 pin tubes and the el-509 6kg6 tubes are 9 pin tubes. you might get lucky and find a cheap set on the net or if you can afford it you can buy them new. |
