Does anyone have any mods for this amplifier. It has no model or serial number. But it has two 6Ju6 tubes and has a wood finish on the front of it.

If I remember right the PLUS was a pre-amp. Should do around 100 watts.

I would say no, I've seen a lot of smoked transformers in these units, more than what would appear to be normal wear and tear so I question how stout they are. If you want to do this, you might consider 6LQ6 tubes. That way you don't have to change tube sockets.
Also, do you think there is room for the taller tube? Seems kinda tight in there although I didn't try and stick one in. In some of the D&A amps and Browning 180's I've seen people put 6KV6's for a little more output. That would require moving the plate connection to the tube socket which shouldn't be too difficult, you could just run some high voltage wire and not try and relocate the parts. If you come up with anything that works, let us know. I've got 2 or 3 of them around here somewhere and like to play.
