I beleive it is the same chassis as the Cobra 146GTL. I believe(off of the top of my head) the N expo kit is needed for channels. Try
All I have for the P-300 is tune up info and clarifier mod.
Modulation...VR5
AM power ....VR10
SSB power....VR6
1)Find the Brown Wire and White Wires from Clarifer.
2)Cut the White Wire from the PC Board and solder it to Ground.
3)The Brown wire which is located on the board behind the meter where all the buttons are goes to 8v this is found on the left side front 2nd trace use a Volt meter to find this.
4)Cut D30.
5)Put the covers back on and power radio.
When this mod is finished you should have 2.5 Kc to 4 Kc slide up and down. not all radios of the P-300 series is the same on slide.
