I came across a KLV250 transister base Amp, the problem I'm having is it cuts off to 0 watts while driving it in SSB I'm driving it with 10 to 15 watts pep. Works fine in AM & FM SWR is 1.1 using a MFJ 962d only if SWR gets out of hand. from radio to amp I use RG8U and to Tuner RG8U all new cable any Ideas!! |

Does it still do it if you take the tuner out of line? And does it do it both on low and high power? (on the amp) |

HIGHLANDER, It did it with the tuner switch turned to direct in other words bypassing the tuner network. But it solved it's own problem when I tried different lengths of coax or by the fact I never turn it off Thanks |

Jeff, I was too exhausted to carry a sword any further that day! It was about a 6 mile climb up the mountain, called The Cobbler. My cousin in the blue shirt and our other freind(taking photo) didn't scramble up the needle that you see me standing on in the photo--it is not technically difficult, but there is a heart stopping moment when you are exposed to a 600 foot drop while boosting yourself up from a roughly 18 inch ledge on the other side. The girl at the climber's store in the village at the bottom described it as "a bit dodgey" at the top....I'm getting too old for this stuff! The view from there was breathtaking--I could see for miles across the Highlands, Loch Lomond, the Firth of Clyde and the Arrochar Alps. |
