Ok, well i got into the radio a little more and found out it had no recive also, as of yet i have not done any volt check to it, that's my next step. From what i have read in the past I think it might be the audio chip, but i could be wrong. If any one has any idea's it would be helpfull Oh, also i found that someone had done some modification to the echo, and there was a wire that ran from the echo board down to the solder side of the main board, the wire had a bare spot on it and i think it might have touched the audio chip, but i could be wrong. |

First off check your driver and final. A dead final will cause it not to key. I know this cause I have shack full of them just like that. Mostly from trying stuff I know better than do to my junk anyway. Second, scrap the mic/echo board and email galaxy and give them your serial number. If the radio is still under warranty they will send you a new one. I had one that got ruined from some other dumby (besides me) that thought he knew how to tune up a radio. He fried the board and when I'd key up I'd sound fuzzy and distorted. My problem now is it sounds like it's off freq or something. Also check R238 I believe, if this resistor is burned out it won't transmit either. I'm no genius or cb guru, so this is all I have to offer |
