I have been tinkering around with the 29`s,76`s etc. I was thinking about taking the dim-bright switch or the channel 19 switch and instead of clipping the modulation diode or changing it out, do the regular peak and tune, then run one of the switches above with a 100 ohm resistor inline to the modulation diode to boost modulation when needed.Like you are running close to someone and don`t want to blow out their speaker leave the switch set to stock,,when you want to get out loud and proud just flip it and kick it. Anyone have any thoughts on this? I haven`t tried it yet and just wanted to run it by all of you to confirm if I am nuts or not,,lol. |

I haven`t tried it yet, was sending this in as a pop up idea. Have been reading alot about the Magnum S-3 and their top gun modulator and kind of came up with the idea although it will be a crude and most likely less effective but in the same manner will still serve the same pupose. I have a cobra 29 Dale Earnhart I am going to start in on will try it and get back and let everyone know how it went. If it works as well as I would like it to will include the how to on it. |
