Plano,

With the KLV350 you already have a High and Low Power setting on the Amplifier.

W90-00090 KLV-350 Base *
$ 227.99

FEATURES:

Frequency: 26-30 Mhz

(2) Tube EL509-519(same as 6KG6A)

Output Power: 200W Max

Output Power: SSB 400W Max

Mode AM/FM/SSB/CW

Input Power: 1-4W

Input Power SSB: 2-20W

Supply 110/220V

Fuse 3,15A

Two Power Output Level

I would suggest driving it with 2 to 2-1/2 watts.

If you had a variable drive and your Watt Meter was off just a couple of watts you could Smoke the amplifier real quick.

They are a LOW Drive Amp and it's just not worth the chance of it going POOF!
