Can anyone tell me how to put varible talkback into my galaxy 55. I heard of a mod using a 50k pot and a 57k 1/4 watt resistor in line but i don't remember the whole thing. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Ok here we go, this mod will also work for these radios to SUPER STAR 121,3000,3000b,3900,3900hpzx
GALAXY saturn,melaka,DX-55v

Locate d-80 in the audio section and unsolder and lift one end(LEAVE THE BANDED END SOLDERED TO THE BOARD) ,next insert a 27k 1/4 watt resistor in the hole on the board where you removed d-80 ,ok now you mount you a 50k pot in a convenient location ,then run one wire from the pot to the resistor, and another one from the pot to d-80
AND PRESTO VARIABLE TALKBACK!!!!!!!!!!!!
