My old radio tech retired and moved away. I need 2 or 3 radios tuned up, who do you guys recommend? I need some one who has attention to detail(I am picky), has all of the necessary tools, understands advanced mods, and does not mind conversations with the customer. I dont mind paying a little more, if the work is work it. Someone in Arizona a plus, but not a must. I know, ....I am asking for alot. Any suggestions? RFIcon |

Rficon, Check with other radio operators around you area and they should be able to recommend someone for you. The Copper Forum Rules listed at the Top Left of the Copper Forum here will prevent anyone from posting with anyones name or address or location. Hopefully you will be able to find a good qualified tech in your area to help you. Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN |

Bc, Yes, I have recommended Copper Tech8541 in the past for out of Warranty Work or Radio Modification's. And no it is not a New Rule. I asked the owners on who if anyone the Techs and Moderators should recommend and that is who I was told to mention. Since I am just a visitor/guest here on the Copper Forum the same as you and the other Copper Forum Members I follow the rules and the directions that are given to me. Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN |

Thats too bad. Here in Phoenix, all there seem to be are chop shops. I would prefer my radios tuned correctly, rather than the limiters to be chopped and tuned over the air by reports. There are several scoundrels who hack radios in this state. I will try to contact tech8541, I have a connex 4800 and a DX99v that are still in warranty. The mods are already done, I just need a good tech with a scope, accurate meter, and accurate frequency counter to align the radios to the best they can do. Thanks, RFIcon |
