i'm looking for a 10khz switch mod for a cobra 89gtl. cobra 87gtl,1000gtl, president dwight d-late model,zachery t-late model,sbe lcb-8,and teaberry stalker XII all have the same board. would anyone have the 10khz mod for any of these? thanks for any help sent my way. i have been all over the enternet looking- this forum seems to have the best info on radios that i have found,so guess this is my best and last hope. thanks again.

junkbarren, this is all that i have for the late model zac. T. its a 5kc jump, but maybe with slide you can get your 10kc.

power tweaks: remove C128 (.47uf). remove TR16.
replace R132 (1k) with a 470 ohm resistor.
replace R50 (3.9 ohm) with a 1 ohm resistor.
retune L13, L12, and L11 for max. forward power.
jumper C61 with a 67pf ceramic disc cap.
replace TR10 (2sc2029) with a 2sc1969 transistor.
retune L16, and L17 for even power across the band.
replace D13 with a jumper. it will supply more power to the final.

here's the 5kc switch.
cut trace going to pin 9 on the PLL. place a SPST switch across the cut. (on/off)
that's it! that should yield a 5kc drop.

keep in mind that these are mods that i found on the net and have not done personally. so do them at your own risk.
