Hey everyone! I have a quick q for ya'll.. What's the most watts that you can get out of a 959 after its been peaked and tweaked?? My bestfriend and I got a 959 and we took it to our local radio dr that works on galaxies and he said that it was already peaked and tweaked.. but it's only swinging 27 watts by his meters and 20 watts by our dosy.. |

Maillady, your getting about all you can get out of the 959.It has a single 2sc1969 final and at 20watts your stressing it now.and I imagine some of 20 watts your seeing is from the 54mhz trap being de-tuned. tech291 CEF#291 kc8zpj |

I have a 2547 with the same chassis inside, at wide open it was a harmonic throwing fool. Best to do a factory cal and toss an amp behind it. Chad |

Thanks guys, we thought that it should do more because we are getting 35 watts out of the 44's we have. I appreciate the comeback.. ~Kristi~ |

I peaked/tuned my 959 and get about 15 watts on my peak meter. The audio is excellent and not a bit over done. .. Just my two cents.. WoodStock Augusta, GA Home of the Masters |
