These new 10 meter rigs from cobra look very nice as a fan of cobra i think they are starting to see more then 40 channels this is great the 150 gtl is am/fm 20 watts and the 200 gtl claims
100+ watts and is ssb as well.Looks pretty nice to me.

Yeah! I cant wait to get mine for the car. I was going to get an S9 for the new mobile but I'm waiting. 100 watts SSB I can take the amp out of the car now and have room for my scanner.

Yes Cobra has done something right for once they are waking up to the demands of cb ops and hams.I cant wait to see what mods can be done i olan on getting one asap.I dont think copper has the ssb model yet but i see them going for under $300 on the net

i dunno just yet.....& the 150gtl, AM/FM only is a no-go no matter what. if its' receive isn't every bit as good as a 148/xl....gotta wait

I'm not wild about just an AM/FM radio either, but I bought one just to have one. I should have it Thursday according to the tracking information.

Until I know where the sideband model is being made and how good it's going to be as a base radio, I'm not interested.

WELL I BOUGHT ONE OF THOSE COBRA 150 DX AND SORRY I DID. DONT RECEIVE WORTH A ..I TOOK IT BACK OUT OF MY TRUCK AND PUT BACK IN MY GALAXY 33..THE COBRA IS IN MY TOOL BOX...

As far as I know the new ones have been improved but still not perfect! It was the first generation of 150's and 200's that really stunk! I have heard some of the newer 200's on ssb and they was'nt to bad. AM was ok too. Nowhere near the perfect audio of my Connex 4800! If they get cheaper I will buy one someday just for fun.

dont wanna know cause thats just a wrong way
of tuning.look to left of this post go 2 mods
see if listed.if not ill look thru some stuff
i got i may have info on that cant guareentee
though.but DONT remove any limiter circuit for
any reason this will destroy the radio audio
not improve it.

You remove component D37 which is the audio limiter diode but DO NOT remove audio limiter diode if you want to use the radio on FM as it kills the FM audio .

well does anyone know not that the radio has been out for awhile how to put talkback in one of these, I'd like to have it on a switch were I can turn it off and on< any info would be greatly appreciated thanks.

hey guys, I have a cobra 148 F GTL that was modified befor I got it and the am power pot on the back is become unstable, would replace it but don`t know the ohms of it. can anyone help me? thanks.

it should have the ohms stamped on the pot some where. you can look on it to get the ohms.
