Do a GOOGLE www.google.com Search for (Yaesu FT-2800 Modification
You will find the Mod listed under the name, mods.dk -> YAESU

Hold LOW+D/MR and then press the power on. On the screen you should see "A2" on the readout..

I did this mod to mine and I don't really know why...
So why do you want to do it? I figure what it opens I can't talk on anyway...but then again there are those times I have to fight away those voices that tell me to do wrong... |

i tried the mod and it work, but where as being in the U.K. it came up as B2 not A2,and by pressing it again, keeping hold of the buttons and turning it of put it back to normal, U.K. 2 MTRS is 144-146mhz, i'm coming to the states in march 06 for three weeks, so i can use my 2800 over there,and will be working nodes aswell to talk back to U.K, listen out for me on your local node, you never know, i could be talking to you.................
