I have a Kl 400 in my mobile when i turn the preamp on signals go down and when i turn it off they go back to normal.I was wondering i maybe i ahve something hooked up wrong?on the back of the amp it says tx and antenna.I have tx going to my radio and antenna going out to my antenna this is right isnt it?

That is right. I had this same problem with a Texas Star box. I ended up adding coax to my antenna piece and that cleared it up.

This one time, at band camp...oh wait...one time I had the problem of when I turned on the pre-amp it would just click and grind. I had to do the same thing, but this was in another truck with another Texas Star box.

You might want to try that, but most likely it's something inside the box. Might just be something you can fix with coax, but I think it's inside...

Thats hooked up right then, TX is for Transmitter, Ant is for antenna. Did this just start happening or has it always done this?
