S9 has SSB, S6 does not. otherwise, identical.

Finally an answer I understand.
Short sweet and to the point too.

I think I am starting to understand some of this radio stuff. When I fist came here I would have seen S9 - SSB - S6 and would have thought I was a GS13 working for the Government again heheehe.

Could someone please tell me where the VR503 (Mic Gain) is located on the Magnum S-6. I can't seem to find it and I've even searched the schematic.

it IS the mic gain control on the front of the radio
