i just got a messenger 800 that has had the driver pill bypassed it looks like there is a couple of caps missing in the driver section also right now it deadkeys 100 and swings to 400 with a 4 watt drive the board has a space for a second driver pill that i would like to add also does any one know anthing about this amp or know where i can find a diagram or even if someone owns one and is will to take a pic of the driver section that would be great too

2290 is the driver dont know what caps,how many pills does it have now?

right now it has the 8 finals in place i have been playing with it and put a 2sc2879 that is less than perfect with a 1.5 watt drive i now get a 400 watt deadkey but no swing could i be overdriving the finals?

you dont want to use a 2879 for a driver,it is proably to much use a 2290 or sd1446,sounds like to me that someone tried to make it a high drive,i would try to get some scamatics and put it back like factory specs,that is a good amp and fixed back it will do at least 700 or 800 watts.find a radio shop on line that sells messenger amps and call them and ask if you can get a customer service # at the company that makes these amps.

that amp runs about 600.00 new
