Does anyone know how to add a Super Mod to a Galaxy 33? What exactly is a Super Mod and how does it work?

take a 100 watt resister and a diode cant remember the number connects to tr52 driver . you really need to see one installed before you try it. cost about 3 bucks if you get the parts at radio shack. i like it myself. my amp likes it. but everyone has a different opinion. mine is make it yourself and youll like it. good luck.

just crank the modulation wide open and use a nice loud power mic with a teaxs star modulator.

how much louder can you get????????

Thanks for the info. The local CB shop always includes a super mod with the radios he sells. I was just wondering what I have been paying for.

IF you want louder modulation and more swing, make sure your EPT board is EPT360014-B, if it is, go to your local radio shack and pick up a 1N4001 diode, cut one end of R238, near the AM power VR, solder the diode in between the cut banded side toward the board. This will allow you to turn your dead key where ever you want it and always swing to your radios peak...for more info http://www.qsl.net/w8cwe/ept3600.html

....this mod also works on the Galaxy Melaka, the new VR9000, anything with the EPT360014 Board.

DX 77 HML

Notice on the bottom side of the main board towards the front there is a small jumper wire soldered to the board. One end of the wire is soldered to ground and the other end is soldered across two pins. Remove this wire and at the same time make sure that the two pins are no longer shorted together. Near the front of the radio is a plug with 3 wires on it that is not connected to anything. Locate the 3 pins that stick up from the main board normally marked "10k" and push the plug on to these pins.
