Hi I have an S9 that came with the optional Old Glory faceplate. In order to install that the knobs have to be removed. Do the knobs just pull off (or pry off)?

Sconover,

You will need to VERY CAREFULLY try and pry them off.

They do not just pull off.

They are on EXTREMLEY TIGHT!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT as I tried to install 3 of them on peoples radios and Pulled the Control Shaft's right out of the Control Pots.

Thus I ended up ordering 3 new Control Pot's from Magnum which took a week to arive and then de-solder everything and remove the old post and install the new post.

NOT FUN.

Hope this help's,

Lon

I put new knobs on mine and the old knobs are very, very tight as Lon said. I suggest you find something that you can use to pry up on the knobs. You will need two of them to pry with, one on opposite sides of the knob. They will come off, once you get them moving, their coming off. if you get frustrated just walk away for awhile.
