I have been looking for mods for this amp and have been unsuccessful.
Please help.
Any information will be helpful.

Also I HAVE LOOKED AND THERE IS NO MOD FOR THIS AMPLIFIER IN THE MODS SECTION.

This is a BI-LATERAL 4 POWER DX 350 amplifier, It looks alot like the TEXAS STAR DX350 but there are significant diferences inside.

what kind of mods are you looking for?

there is really not much to mess with inside an amp that is working properly.
most tweaking and tuning inside a solid state amp is to match it to a particular transmitter, and doesnt really have much effect on the power output.

is the amp working properly now? like with a good input and output SWR?
what transistors are in it and how many?
what kind of power are you seeing out of it now?

if you are thinking of changing out the transistors for higher powered ones, please trust me when i tell you that this will not make a noticable difference at the receiving end, if you do get it to work, which usually involves so many changes it negates the practicality of the mod.

here is a chart that hopefully will lead you in the right direction:
to gain a 1 S-unit increase in someones receiver; you must increase your output power by 4x.
that means that doubling your power output will yeild a 1/2 S-unit increase.
this is not "CB myth" this is physics.
its da facts.
so, if your CB puts out 4 watts and someone is receiving you at S-5:
if you put out 16 watts you will be at S-6.
if you put out 64 watts you will be at S-7.
if you put out 256 watts you will be at S-8.
if you put out 1,024 watts you will be at S-9.

so you can see how having a 2 pill amp can really help, but after that, it gets very expensive to increase a few S-units.
best of luck to you,
matt

I was just seing if this was just a standard amp.

Two pill toshiba 2879's and is puts out fine from my galaxy 33HML doing 30 watts from a 3 watt dead carrier it does around 330 watts.

Anywho I have bought a new 667V so I am selling this unit.

This is exactly like the Texas Star DX350HDV but it has the SSB push button switch in the front and it is not variable.

should fetch a nice price on the auction sites.
make sure you post it under the amateur radio section and not the CB section.
and make sure you put a disclaimer in the ad that the amp is not for use on 11 meters.
otherwise, they will nix the auction.
later,
matt
