I did the channel mod as explained removed the 1 piece. The problem I am having is when I go to the low side I cant talk on all the channels for example when I switch to "A" and go to channel 3.8 I can hear people talking but when I try to key up nothing happens. but if I go to 4.0 i can talk Did I miss something? |

According to the mod sheet I have seen Gov't Frequencies are listen only. I'm not exactly sure what these frequencies are, but I'm interested to know since I just picked up one these radios and will be doing the mod. |

I cam confirm my radio does the same thing. It skips TX on some channels above and below 11M. From what I read though, this is normal. |

I found out how to get all the chaannels to TX. Right above where you removed R138, there is an empty spot where R676 is missing on the newer 150's. Solder a jumper across the two pads, and you'll have full TX. |

Thanks, Justlou! I was hoping someone would be brave enough to try that. I might just go ahead and leave mine as is, but it is nice to know that mod for future reference. |

It just seemed logical since it was so similar to the 200GTL mod where you move R138 to R619, or jumper R619, to get full coverage. |
