I found this info on the net. Will it work?

Cut the trace at pins 10 and 12, isolating those pins. Solder a wire from pins 10 and 12 to the center of 2 SPDT, center-off toggle switches. Solder a wire from one side of pin 12's switch to the other side of the cut trace at pin 12. Next, run a wire from the other side of pin 12's switch to pin 11. Then, run a wire from one side of pin 10's switch the other side of pin 10's cut trace, and then run a wire from the other side of pin 10's switch to pin 17. NOTE: BE SURE to use SPDT center-off switches!! I'm not going to take time to type up the chart for now, but all you need to do is sit down with a frequency counter, go through possible positions, and write down the frequency for each channel on each combination.

Thats the Info I found. Any word would be appreciated.

hey the rci chip in it doesnt ned to be changed at all!!! if it had the rcichip it modes just like the 8719 but it starts at 26.505 or 515 and goes only up to 44. instead of 28mhz as the high end. moded mine just as if it was the old 8719 chip yu just get lower channels without changing the crystal. hey good luck
