just got my rm kl-400 mobile today and hooked it up i hope i didnt get a bad one here ...tried it out on "the popular band" as others have referred to it on the forum here and for whatever reason the tx light doesnt come on ....the preamp works great the other lights light up n/p...so just for the heck of it i try and tune down to a lower band...i tuned down into the 25 numbers and it keys with the tx light perfect....

my question is ,,,is there a mod that i have to do or that shouldve been done but never got done before it left the shop??

If memory serves, there is a jumper block inside the amp that has to be moved to allow operation on the "popular" band.

ok no problems anymore ...i found the information on the internet that helped me

with the unit upside down and bottom cover removed and front facing toward you looking just inside the left side of the unit near the center point youll see 4 metal pins sticking up from the board with a jumper connector alls you have to do is be sure the jumper is on the 2 pins nearest the right(#1&#2)of the 4 pin lineup

and youre good to go for 11meters cb band

ill post a pic in the members pic section
