Magnum 257 S/RF LCD Display Not Working?

No S/RF bar LCD display?

Simple Fix,

#1 ~ Disconnect ALL power to radio and turn radio ON.

#2 ~ Remove Speaker side cover.

#3 ~ With radio facing you and speaker side cover OFF.

#4 ~ Locate the small (3/4" x 1-3/8" Frequency Mod board located on behind the Microphone connector.

#5 ~ Remove the single screw holding the board in place.

#6 ~ Press (Re-Set) button and hold IN for 10 seconds.

Replace Frequency Mod board & screw and replace bottom case cover.

Problem Solved.

George,

The BR-1 Big Radio Sound Echo Board / Sound Module is not in ANY of the Magnum Radios.

It is an add on ECHO BOARD for any radio.

Thanx for that Lonnie but what i'm after is Broadcast quality. If i make a contact i want my modulation to sound like they are listening to me on their local am/fm station. I'll leave the noise toys, echo etc to the grub rubbers.
