--Hi, all. Sometimes, good customer service is hard to come by, and I just wanted to brag on the great service I got from Magnum/RF Limited. I had a Mini Magnum (15 watt PEP version) that I wanted upgraded to the new 30 watt (ERF-2030 final transistor) version. So, I emailed Magnum/RF Limited and in a timely fashion, received an email from Mr. Sam Lewis (the owner of Magnum/RF Limited) with instructions on where to send the radio. --From the time I sent in my radio to the company to have it upgraded, to the time it arrived on my front door, was only about 14 days give or take. Fast service, indeed. I know that Mr. Lewis is probably a busy man, but it was nice to actually speak with the owner...something I was NOT expecting. I now refer my friends to the Magnum line of radios. |

Dale, The Conversion is approved by Sam at Magnum and does not void the factory warranty and they will not change or alter the settings the owner has. You will see below that the owner can set it for what ever band coverage they want.
Hope this help's Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9CEF CVC#2 |

How do you get 400 channels outta that little radio with such a small display? How do you know what channel you are on? |

--PorkChop, there is a "Call" button on the front of the radio that, after modification, serves as a band selector. You just press it to go to the corresponding band you want. Letters "A" through "J" appear. "E" band is regular CB frequencies for instance. The radio is hard to beat if you are wanting something basic. 25.165-29.655 if you do the 400 channel mod. |

--Tech808, where is your review on this radio? I looked under "Subscriber Preview" and then "Reviews", but didn't see it. Maybe I just overlooked it, haha. Thanks. |

Mayor513, I apologize, as I thought I had it completely finished before my stroke and noticed it still needs some more information added before the Forummaster can post it. I have also edited my post above to read: Just print this page from my Review I am working on and save it. Sorry, Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9CEF CVC#2 |

Mayor513. I would like to second your opinion of Mr Sam Lewis at RF Limited. Have had to call on him several times in the past and he has answered the phone, helped solve the problem on the spot and did do exactly what he said he was going to do and on time too. He has also helped a lot on this forum...Great Guy.. |

Mr. Lewis is a great guy, I have called him once with a question about adding talk back to my blue face 257 and he told exactly what I needed and where to get it, from the guy that designed and the way he talked, for the 257, could be wrong, but yes, he is a great guy, like Tech808 has said many times before, where else can you call a company and talk to the owner directly, gotta love Magnum.
