If RFL makes the Ranger SDM-1000 mic, could you tell me what model battery I can replace the old one with and where I can get new foam wind screens? Can anyone give me the wiring info so I can use it with my Superstar 4900b?
Thanks,
Rich

Copake12516,

Just got off the phone with Sam Lewis and RF Limited did sell them but did not manufacture them.

He says just take the old battery out and take it to a battery place or radio shack and they should have a replacement as he think's (since it has been 7 or 8 year's ago now since it was discontinued) that it was similar to a standard hearing aid battery.

The STOCK FACTORY wiring was:

AUDIO ~ RED
COMMON ~ GROUND/SHIELD
TRANSMIT ~ WHITE
RECEIVE ~ BLUE
SWITCH ~ BLACK
CH-UP ~ YELLOW
CH-DN ~ GREEN

For Your 4900B it should be:

PIN #1 ~ RED / Mic Audio
PIN #2 ~ BLUE / Receive
PIN #3 ~ WHITE / Transmit
PIN #4 ~ N/C
PIN #5 ~ Ground/Shield / Ground/Shield
PIN #6 ~ N/C

Hope this help's,

Lon
