--Haha, yeah, I was kind of shocked myself. Magnum is the "new frontier" of radios. 80 watts in my opinion, is a bunch, then they are coming out with 175, now 250?? Cannot wait to see that one (or operate it, if the price is right).

Yeah well i think 250 whiskies will do me nicely. I'll just wait now for the appearance of said radio and do a bit of damage to the visa card....lol. Bubble wrap all my others in the collection and run with the S9-250. Bugger the price....this is IT. Should be a great pidgeon pair with the 357 mobile and the S9-250 as a base.

S9-250? Just skip the 175, go straight to the 250, and release it yesterday! Way to go Mr. Lewis!

Sluggo4449,

You will only need a 40 or 50 amp power supply depending on which model "175/250" you get if you are also planning on running it as a base radio.

Like me.

In AM Use the AMP pull should be around 30 AMPS.

Will Magnum ever be coming out with any new base units? If so I could possibly be swayed away from the Galaxy DX2547.

Don't get on much these days so on this late.

How set are these dates? I mean we have been talking about the 175 since like April and at one point it was stated by Sam to be out in June or July. Missed my Summer trip needless to say and looks like it will be missing the Winter trip as well.

Is this for real or should we just scrap the idea of waiting for it.

I know this sounds pretty negative and guess it is as I feel we have just been teased along for a very long ride - So whats the REAL DEAL - If you don't know then please SAY SO...

Sinker,

The Information I have posted here in the forum is DIRECT from Sam Lewis's last Visit in the Copper Voice Chat to answer member's question's LIVE and from my weekly calls with him.

He will be in the Copper Voice Chat again this month this month to answer the Copper Voice Chat Member's Question's LIVE!

Maybe you should think about Volunteering as a Copper Voice Chat Tester and you can get LIVE Updates Monthly from DIRECT from Sam.

Or he has said ANY COPPER FORUM MEMBER can call and talk with him Direct at: 1-877-624-6869.

Remember MAGNUM International is located in WA. and when it is 12 noon your time it is only 9am in WA.

Hope this help's,

Not a voice chat member. I do allot of video conferencing and such so just a voice connection over the PC just doesn't appeal to me - Thanks for the offer though.

Guess I will have to call and make a decision to wait or buy something else.

Thanks for the info.
