Here is a HELPFUL tip if you wish to use the  MAGNUM 175/250 Radio's BOTH as a Mobile and a Base Unit.
Since the MAGNUM 175/250 Radios will be "HARD WIRED" with an Automotive Fuse "INSIDE" of the radio you will need to use the following if you wish to have a Quick Disconnect to allow you to disconnect it from your vehicle and take it in the house with you for use as a BASE RADIO off of your Power Supply.
W90-30012 TP-10-2 Quick Disconnect For Mobile Amplifiers and Radios
Or the:
W90-30014 TP-8 Quick Disconnect For Mobile Amplifiers and Radios
And you will NEED TO ORDER 2 of them to allow you to have a a QUICK DISCONNECT both in your Vehicle and for your Power Supply.

Lonnie,
Maybe you can clarify this for me? On another web site it has been reported that Magnum will be releasing a 350w version of the S-9. It was posted by a distibutor in another country. As far as i am aware there will be the 175 and 250w. Has Sam hinted somewhere about a 350w job?

After talking with Sam there will be a S-9 300+ watt version with DUAL BOARDS sometime in 2007.
That is all of the information I have on it at this time.
When Sam has more information he will give it to me to post here in Manufacturers Questions area for the Copper Forum Member's.

OK what i do now is grab a 175 when they are released and just sit back for the 300. In the meantime maybe the Lotto gods will smile upon me.

wow a 250watt s9 i knew they were making a 175
what ya mean lon by hard wired cord.is it soldered inside?and if a fuse doed blow will we void any typew of warranty by replacing it ourself.cause it see sending it in for just a fuse |

Take a look at the picture above. Visualize one of the cords being cut in half, now visualize one of the halves being wired to the radio instead of the little low power 3 pin connector that is usually on the radio. The reason for this is because of the higher amp draw of the new radios. If they stayed with the traditional connector it would melt eventually, and sooner than later.

I can understand the people wanting the update. I mean we were told around 1 year ago that this radio was coming out and we still haven't seen it.
If we didn't think it was a good radio or wanted it we wouldn't ask for it and updates. But I personally am beginning to wonder if it'll ever be out. I mean what's the hold up? The Magnum fans have been waiting for this radio and still haven't seen it. Galaxy's folks already have a new toy waiting for them.
Tell Sam to lay down the 9 iron and get with the program.

NOTE!
Please read the paragraph above that say's:
After talking with Sam there will be a S-9 300+ watt version with DUAL BOARDS sometime in 2007.
Right now Sam is concentrated on releasing the MAGNUM 50 watt 257, Magnum S-9-175 watt models and well as other new Magnum Product's.
And they are still working on many other product's that are being designed and in pre-production testing which I am not at liberty to mention or discuss at this time.
When Sam has more information for me to post on any of his new MAGNUM product's I will be happy to post it for the Copper Forum member's as soon as I get it.

In my opinion, you can get second best or wait for the MAGNUM and get the best. I have a few GALAXIES and I think I would rather wait for the MAGNUM.
