Magnum should release a ssb handheld like cherokee did those things sold like crazy and are hard to get your hands on.Imagine a 10 meter handheld that you could mod for 11 meters with usb lsb am fm.Blue digits that would be sweet.

Niterider68,

Here is the info I have from just calling Sam Lewis (Owner of Magnum International).

There were so many problem's with them that they Never went into production and Sam canceled any further involvement with them.

He said he took the last 6 or 7 of the pre-production samples to the dayton ham fest and sold them to a dealer for 25 bucks apiece with the WARNING and Understanding that they MAY or MAY NOT WORK and they were sold AS IS with no warranty, support or replacement part's.

If you have one it may be one of the 6 or 7 from dayton.

Thats a shame that it didnt work out so well.Theres no way he would probably even consider making that attempt again. My friend had the cherokee and we would go to the beach and use it and we would talk across the water it was insane i loved that thing.
