Add a 10 Khz jump switch to your Connex 3300

Here is a simple way to get those in between channels on your Connex 3300 and most of the time Galaxy DX-33 . First of all you will need a single pole / double throw switch from the local electronic parts store and 3 pieces of wire about 6 inches long each . Open the radio and locate IC-6 and IC-7 (integrated circuits) . Using an exacto knife cut pin 9 of IC-6 free from the board . Run one of the wires from pin 9 of IC-6 to the center position on the switch . Next run a wire from the other side of the cut to the top or bottom position on the switch . Last run a wire from the only position on the switch left to pin 16 of IC-7 . Mount the switch on the side of the radio or in most cases I use the back of the radio so that the cabinet does not get any holes drilled in it . Once the switch is mounted you can jump in between those channels that normally can not be reached . This modification along with any other modification is for experimentation only . Have fun.....
