Additional Comment's,

After Simon/Tech231 was finished with his Review of the Workman SX-144/430 Meter he sent to me for additional testing/comment's.

As soon as it arrived I completely disassembled the meter to check the quality of the meter and the component's and soldering before starting any testing.

I did adjust / -0- both of the cross needle's as they were off very slightly about 1/32 of an inch before connecting it for testing.

Note! The cross needles are are very easy to adjust / -0- as the adjustments for both needles are located on the front of the meter.

I was very surprised with the weight as this is not a light weight little meter.

It has a nice weight to it that will keep it in place for base use.

The actual Cross Needle Display is: 2-1/2" x 2" which give's you an easy to see/read/view meter with Forward and Reflected Power from 3 or 4 feet away.

The component's / boards inside are all mounted very securely and all of the solder connections to all part's and board's are all very good and should give you years of trouble free performance with Base or Mobile Use.

The twin 12-volt bulbs will be easy to replace should one burn out or fail as they are soldered in place.

When checking it against my MFJ 862 Meter and a friends Yaesu FT-100D and Bird 43 we found it to be within +/- 5% which was very good for such a small meter.

The ANT & TRANS SO-239 connectors allow for a tight fit, which also impressed me.

The Quality, Craftsmanship and Performance of this small meter are EXCELLENT.

If you are looking for a reasonabley priced, well built SX-144/430 SWR/Watt Meter with excellent performance that will allow you to use it as a Base or Mobile SWR/Watt Meter then this small sized meter from Workman will be a nice addition to any shack.
