The Astatic AST878DM Is a omni directional ceramic desk mic offering a rugged cycloac resin housing for industrial & commercial applications.

The volume can be adjusted with a potentiometer located under the bottom of the mic.

Mic is wired 4pin Cobra/Uniden

Works well with my RCI 2980wx. I switch back to my Silver Eagle and everyone says about the same audio. Loud, clean and clear. Looks good setting on my work bench in front of my radio. Good match for RCI 2980. I talk on AM mostly but tried it on side band and got good remarks about it there too. Money well spent. Thanks copper.

Have this mic and a silver eagle side by side. I get better feedback on this one..

This seems like a pretty good mic. Good sound quality. It's plastic, but not unattractive and looks like it can take some banging around without hurting it. For just a nice looking, good talking desk mic, it seems worth the average asking price.

Got it today love it. Have on a Ranger2980wx it does beter than my old sliver eagle D104 did .Set right gain under the bottom of mic. It rock,s now.Getting all good remarkes about it. I would get another one. Thank Coppers and Paul.
