This is problably a dumb question, but can you run an antenna switch backwards to switch radios on the same antenna so you don`t have to switch coaxes all the time? Thanks,Freddie |

bruce, bruce, bruce. shouldn't you KNOW BETTER by now . just as Fde wants to run HIS switch backwards....4 radios into the mfj1704, the out goes to one of the 'ins' on the mfj1700c....so i have 5 radios on the 6 position switch, the last position allowing 4 more radios, therefore, 9 radios! and of course, 6 antennas. i don't seem to have any measurable losses as i get out on everything attached. i HAVE added more antennas by adding another switch to one of the antenna 'outs', but 3 connectors on the 746pro & the use of a diplexer...... |

I have done the same thing in the past. The risks like Marconi says are there you just got to be careful to remember to hit the switch when you change radios and keep an eye on SWR. I think it is also important to use a well made switch. I like the old school stuff and in my personal opinion I feel the old school stuff is better made AND can handle higher power. I own a real old FireBird switch and a Goldline switch. Big bulky and tight so you got to hold them down with one hand while the other hand turns the knob! KEEP IT REAL! again, bruce, bruce, bruce....you just had to get me started. about 10 years ago, i took my father to a bookstore up in huntington village, LI. yogi, who was my fathers favorite yankee, was signing his book, 'i really didn't say everything i said'. we waited on line for 2 hours, watching yogi sign & rarely if ever look up at his 'fans', and definitely not interacting with anyone. i guess he felt it was a 'neccessary evil' of the autograph business. well, my father got up to yogi, leaned over towards him as he got his book signed & said 'an autograph AND i finally get to meet my favorite yankee up close after 50 years of trying! now i can die a complete man!!' yogi jumped up out of his seat & grabbed my fathers arm & said 'god, please don't do that here! all these people have been waiting all morning & that'll just slow everything down!' yogi being yogi. and i'm a METS fan...at least he managed them for a while. marconi, Why risk the mistakes?-ya just gotta be careful . |

does not surprise me .... The RAYS did nothing for our challenger kids or other little league teams for years. And they wonder why they cannot fill the ballpark ...... It's not the same as when as a kid i went to the polo grounds and could talk to GILL HODGES and CASEY STENGEL ..... Bruce On 6 since 66
