I have an older S3, 1969 finals, the receive is very noisy. I am unable to tell if I am running the 11 meter freqs because I can not hear, it seems like a very small amount of incoming signal gets in once in a while, it has awesome sounding audio coming through the talk back and has good output into my dummy load. Any ideas? Thanks Lee |

is it noisy on both 11 and 10 meter.could be picking up some strong electical interference disconnect antenna if it tottally disappears id think your recieving interference thru your antenna [no cure] if its still there but at a much lower level [less s-units] then the recieve section might be overtuned.hopefully others will chime in this is just my best guess dale/a.k.a.hotrod cef426 cvc#64 454 [dx numbers] 38lsb

My Uniden Grant XL works great on the same antenna, I am pretty sure some part went bad, probably just send it back to Magnum for repair. Thanks Lee |
