when I have my freq counter button pushed in to read frequency it changes to the time when I key the mic and back to the frequency when I talk. It blinks back and forth like that when I talk. Anybody know what is wrong? |

It sure sounds like the three push switches at the far left marked "Counter/Time" need cleaning. Use a "control cleaner" that has a light silicone lubricant, NOT a "non-residue" contact cleaner. The sliding contact surfaces inside those switches need that lubricant to prevent wear. At least that's the cheapest possible culprit I can think of to blame. All of the others are much more expensive.
