I have a first run of the mill cobra 200 gtl that has no talk back.Is it possilbe to add talkback to it like the later cobra 200's?how hard would this be to do?

Have you tried jumping the postive lead of the pa jack to the external speaker jack with a 100 ohm resistor?
Or if that won't work you could try jumping the positive lead of the speaker to the audio transformer with a 100 ohm resistor.
Mod at own risk.
