Dale, 1861, Slim1,

My mistake, I received a OMEGA FORCE S-45 with the MOSFET's in October 2007 for testing but it did not have the DUAL MIC CONNECTOR case on it as it was a pre-production radio with the newer component's inside for testing.

After talking with Sam Lewis Magnum International just now the OMEGA FORCE S-45 with DUAL MIC CONNECTORS started shipping in November 2007.

My 2003 S-45 and pre-production 2007 S-45 that I received from Magnum for testing only have/had a single 4 pin mic connector.

That Omega-Force S-45 is one fine radio. It is professional quality. On 10 meters the other hams have no idea it is a cb radio. This radio also has superior receive to other brands such as Galaxy. You made a good choice.

Mikefromms,

although a great radio with wonderful features, and we all understand the potential, this radio should not be advertised or represented as a CB radio as you posted. It is sold as a 10 meter radio and not a CB radio. For those who understand the differences, I did not want your post to be misunderstood. To operate this radio DOES require a FCC license.

Just wanted to clear that up. I agree it does sound superb on the airwaves.

Thanks Alsworld, where in the world have you been? I think the last time I heard from you you were moving.

The Omega-Force is one fine 10 meter radio for sure.

Now we're getting down to the brass tacks Alsworld! Good point you made.
This radio, like similar radios, can ONLY be operated in the HF radio frequency spectrum.
'Never owned one, but if it's as good as the S9 and the 257 I own, then it's a GREAT radio.
Coppers do a superb job of setting these radios up. :}
