Missie,

Sorry never used a road king mic before.

If it does not take a regular 9 volt square battery it may take the round 7 volt battery below from Copper.

Missie is it a road-king 56 made by turner? If not are you talking about a 1970's turner microphone? The reason I am asking is I have never seen a road-king model 70 before and I looked for one and they look like they don't exist! Not sure what kind of mike you are talking about? Can you explain? Maybe I will learn something new. I have had many turner mics and most use a 9 volt battery and some no battery I have only seen a few use the 7 volt battery but not many.

A 7-7.5 volt battery works in your mic. I bought a couple of these batteries, they actually are made up of 5-1.5 volt round flat hearing aid style batteries put together and wrapped in a plastic shell. Your Road King 70 is a fantastic mic. It is a noise cancelling Power mic. with a speech compressor built in. That mic will sound crystal clear with no background noise and very very loud.
