Hi,
this is my first post, so let me know if this is wrong, but here goes:
I have a newer (but not "hp")Omega force with the dual 2030 mofset finals. it keys .5W to 15W and always swings 75W. I power it with a pyramid adjustable 25A supply and have a workman 5/8 wave omni and a v-quad beam, both at 35 feet above ground and 60 feet apart. my antennas are set up correctly and I get out really good on both with swrs under 1.3-1 across 70+ channels. My question is, what would be a good base amp without breaking the bank for this radio? It seems to be more power than the average import puts out, but less than a modulator. I will be using it on sideband as much as am too.
I have had many older tube amps, but i want to get either a smaller ceramic, or a solid state amp this time. my goal is a max swing of 550 - 650 watts and deadkey is not an issue.
Opinions please???
I also have a rci-2990 that would ideally be used on the amp too, but with variable power out on that i can adjust to the same output as the omegaforce.
thanx & 73's to all!
