I've owned this HR2600 since new. It was installed in a moblie for some time before something happened to the audio circuit. I do have the rear accessory connector configued properly with the jumper. The rig also has a chip switch installed and I would really like to get it going again.

So far I have followed some suggestion found on the net and replaced some of the electrolitic caps around the TDA1905 audio amplifier chip and have also replaced the TDA1905 chip but still nothing out the speaker. Upon further testing I'm finding Zero volts on the VCC of the chip so its not getting power. I do have the service manual for the rig but the print is not good and I'm having trouble determining where VCC is comong from. The rig transmits just fine and the receiver seems to be working as the S-meter responds to received signals, just no audio out the speaker.

It anyone has dealt with this issue on a 2600, 2510 or Lincoln type Uniden rig and has any insight that would be helpful I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

My Lincoln had a similar problem but only on TX. It was very distorted with almost no TX audio in all modes. I replaced C-60 & C75 on the main board and that fixed the problem. There location is behind the display by IC104. just make sure the ones you install are rated at 25 or more volts. I hope this helps.
