Hi 307

I can't use my Galaxy 88 on SSB anymore. This problem has increased over the past 2 years and now is real bad. This problem started only months after I bought the radio new in 1999.

At first my TX-RX might be sometimes garbled. The fix was to change a channel then change back again. This would clear it up. Later I had to change channels back and forth more than once to fix that garbled condition. Now, it's plain out garbled on TX and RX on SSB. Unusable except on FM and AM, which are fine.

I have noticed that I can hold a slight side pressure on the channel selector and sometimes it will clear up, but not always.

Is this radio worth having repaired?
Please help.
