Here is one for you Lon....I would like to put a 4 pin connector on my 148 instead of the 5 pin. All my other radios are 4 pin and would like to be able to interchange them...Any help?? Thanks Buck |

Buck, My suggestion would be to get a Mic Adapter from 4 Pin Cobra to 5 Pin Cobra. Only $3.99 from Copper and a WHOLE lot easier than re-wiring. Check the Link below. http://www.copperelectronics.com/cgi-bin/checkitout/checkitout.cgi?catalogSTORE:CKIE:prodM60-07428+ And then you will have it on hand for future use as I am sure you will pick up more radios over the years that you could use it on. Actually I have the Whole Set and makes it very easy for working on different radios and for testing all Mics. Just my thought's Lon Tech808 |

Buck, Glad I could make an Easy suggestion. These little critters really save a person a lot of time and allows to to try about every kind of mic out there on any radio you have or might get without re-wiring them. When you call say Tech808 told you to call and you want to buy a dozen of each. Have a good weekend! Lon Tech808 |

If you ever decide to hardwire it, just put the switch(Or Common) wire on the same pin as the shield on both the mike plud and the bulkhead. |
