Do you have a carrier on sideband even if it is only a watt? I have seen this before and it is really weird but it was a combination of the Bias on the Final/Driver and the Carrier Balance control being out-of-whack. I found it by accident when I realized I had a slight carrier on SSB. When I went to remove the carrier with the carrier balance control the final took off in an oscillation and it blew. This may be your trouble as well. |

you think the final bais and the driver bais is off,all i can tell you is the meter lights blink when i talk on ssb and after 10 minutes the 2sc1969 is gone, how should they be adjusted? and i tried adjusting my SSB power either way i turn it it swings 35 or 40 watts,do these ajustments have to be made by a radio shop? thanks ohh no carrier on ssb, same as dead key right. thanks |
