A friend of mine gave me an old sears road talker 40 base the one with sideband on it. But all it does is light up. I don't hear anything but static on it. when I key the mic the meters don't move but the transmit and modulation lights go on. Some told me it may be the finals.i can hear myself talking on it on my walkie talkie but no one else can hear me. anyone? |

Freebird very well could be if you had a sniffer you could look to see where the rf stops ..... |

if I was a dummy and I AM, I would change the final first. Sounds like the driver is working. |
