Well the question this time would have to be is that. My amp has two tubes the tubes # are 6JU6 and one of my tube that is in there right now is shorted out. Has a break in is somewhere. No matter what when I did try to key the amp up it would start to spark and then the fuse would blow. So I was wondering I have to buy two new tubes anyway. Could I exchange these 6JU6 for a better or a stronger tube that would help me produce more watts? Like a 6lk6 or something Without having to switch the inners of this amp????????

From what i can find out from RCA, the preferred subs are 6JF6 , 6KM6 and 6JE6. Don't know about the output increase you want. Chances are the output will be similar.
