I JUST INSTALLED AMP, TURNED PRE AMP ON AND SMELLED SOMETHING BURNT. TURNED THE POWER OFF. TURNED IT BACK ON AND WHEN THE PRE AMP ON I HEAR BUZZING. ANY IDEAS ON WHAT WRONG?

You wired in in reverse somehow. The burning smell is the plastic shielding on the wires. I did it too! If you are lucky, it still works. Be painfully accurate when wiring.

IF YOU PLUGGED IT IN BACKWARDS YOU'LL HAVE TO REPLACE THE 3 AMP PROTECTION DIODE LOCATE NEXT TO A 104 CAP OR WHEN YOU KEY UP AND IT KEYS UP IT WILL USUALLY NOT UNKEY WHEN YOU UNKEY
