Hi Team,enviromental pressures have forced lead free solder into the electrical/electronics industry and of course our hobby.Has or will this extra cost to the manufacture have an effect on the future purchase price of our next piece of equipment? |

John,
It shouldnt add any more cost to manufactureing,price is about equal to the 60/40 electronic and 50/50 general use tin/lead solders.lead-free has been required here for several years for plumbing/potable waterlines.What I have noticed about the new folmulas is the higher temps required to flow the "safe solders". |
