Will I be OK to run my peaked Cobra 29 LTD Classic with the erf-2030 upgrade into my Texas Star 250 HDV? The radio is dead keying approximately 2 watts. I'm not sure what the radio is swinging.

Please advise - I don't want to ruin my Texas Star!!

The erf-2030 is rated at 25 watts. You should'nt have any trouble but you might want to put a fan on the amp. Its only a few more watts than say if you had a 1969 final in there. Never hurts to be safe. Check to see if the amp gets any warmer than it used to. I say go ahead and use the amp!

Thanks Hotwire. I'm not seeing really that much more swing from the ERF-2030 than I was from the stock final. Everything is working well though.

Thanks
