I currently have a A99 on a 40 ft.pole.I am going to upgrade to a Maco V 5/8 on a 60ft.tower.
I haven't decided on coax though.It will be around 110 ft run from the base of the antenna to my radio room.Could someone reccommend the type of coax I should run?And also give me an idea of how to ground the antenna and tower?Thank you |

because you are going to use more than 100' of coax, i would go with LMR400. very, very well sheilded, high quality coax. i have been using it for more than a year now, and am very happy with it.
have the place that sells the cable put the ends on for you. this will save headaches later.

also searching the forum will turn up a lot of advice.

I'd get a 75 ft run and run it from the antenna down to the ground. Install a lightning arrestor and ground it there. Then I would get a 50 ft run and run it in the house. You'll end up with a bit more coax than ya wanted, but it's be done right.
I'm no expert, but this is what I'm doing and that's gained from knowledge of reading this forum all day for a while! |

Follow the instruction's below that Tech833 who is an expert PBE in his field posted for the Copper Forum Member's and use a SINGLE RUN of Coax from your antenna to your PolyPhaser and you will be all set. 
I personally use RG-213 for 2 runs of 115' and 1 run of 110' and another run of 90'.

Thanks guys.So the groundwire from my antenna to the ground rod should be attatched to the tower and run along the side of the tower down to the ground rod,right? |

404, that's right. I'm going to try and just ground my tower and not the antenna, but I have a good feeling I'll be grounding the antenna in the very near future. We shall see. |

So I think I'm going to go with the 213.Does the coax copper carries still made by S.I.W.? |

Looking at a piece of 213 that I purchased from Copper less than a year ago it says
JSC Wire and Cable Made in USA
Its really good coax and very flexible. It has a nice outer insulation that feels really durable and rubbery like its not going to dry up and crack very soon. I used it in the mobile all summer and with all the heat sitting in the sun at my work parking lot its never caused me any trouble. Just 100% performance. |

The 213 I got from Copper was SIW type RG213/U
Made in the USA!
No it wasn't made in any flea and tick ridden country.
