I just bought a new DX-2547 from you all and a maco v-58 antenna.I am using a D-104 amplified desk mic also. I was wondering if I can use the klv-350 and the maco pre-amp you sell together on my Galaxy base? If so, which goes behind the radio first, linear or amp? If not, I would like to know so I don't buy something I can't/won't use.

Cat_driver,

Since you did not post this in the Customer Service Area I did not see your post until now.

All of the Copper Forum Techs and Moderator's donate our own personal time to help when and where we can.

While we try and do our best we just do not have the time to read every post that is submitted to the Copper Forum.

Yes you can use the MACO 150 Pre amp with your radio as well as the KLV 350.

I would personally set it up: Radio - Pre-Amp - Amp as the M00-05030 MACO RECEIVE PREAMP AC150 has a MAXIMUM Input of 300 watts.

I apologize for the delay in seeing your post.

Hope this help's,

The KLV-350 does not have a built in pre-amp.

It's control switches are:

#1-ON/OFF
#2-Stby/ON
#3-AM/SSB
#4-HI/LOW
#5-TUNE control.
